About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of machinery used in the steel fabrication process, helping to maximize productivity and minimize downtime. Below is a list of minimal responsibilities for this role:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with machinery and equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance procedures according to manufacturer specifications and maintenance schedules.
- Repair or replace defective parts/components to restore machinery to proper working order.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Assist in the installation, setup, and calibration of new machinery and equipment.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify opportunities for improving machine efficiency and reliability.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Machine Maintenance Technician or similar role, with at least 3+ years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair machinery and equipment.
Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems used in industrial machinery.
Familiarity with hand and power tools used in maintenance and repair activities.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to adhere to safety standards and protocols at all times.
Previous experience in steel fabrication or a related industry is a plus.
